Music used on TV

NEW! - YouTube Playlists

Recommended Greatest Hits Songs Listed by Artist features 289 songs rated 4 or 5 by 77 Artists.

New in Greatest Hits: Great Hits Artists Listed By Nationality.

The Greatest Hits section features 1,299 songs reviewed and rated on 77 albums.

In the Christmas section I created two pages that feature the highly recommended 167 Christmas songs by 137 Artists rated 4 or 5 and listed by: Recommended Christmas Songs Listed By Artist or Recommended Christmas Songs Listed By Title. The full unabridged Christmas pages each feature 527 songs by 354 artists: Christmas Songs Listed By Artist or Christmas Songs Listed By Title, Christmas About and Christmas Music Review Links

I have split the Music used on TV page into three: The pages are: Advertisements, On-Air Promotions and TV Programs. There are 114 new entries on the Advertisement page and in total there are 722 entries on the three pages

As I have listened to so much music over the years, I can on occasion identify the song by title and artist the instant I hear the advertisement. I have listed the original artist where I am not sure if it has been covered, as many times a song will be used in an advertisement without an onscreen credit.

I have created this music review website because I really enjoy listening to music. And whilst not all genres will be included I hope that the music that I will be reviewing is of interest to you.

Music genres not being specifically reviewed include but are not limited to Bluegrass, Christian, Classical, Country, Dance, Electronic, Jazz, Hip Hop, House, Instrumental, Marching Bands, Rap or World Music.

I considered but rejected including reviews of both The Pogues and Manic Street Preachers as I simply don't like there music. And I have deleted all double albums, with the exception of The Church, and replaced them with single albums, or as is the case with Jesus Jones, deleted the review entirely.

All the individual track review follow the same format of: line 1: track number, track title, duration in minutes and seconds; line 2: songwriters credits; line 3:artist and then on line 4 : a brief review with a rating out of five. If there is only one artist or group on the album, artist credit is omitted.

The format for the songwriters credits consists of surnames separated by a forward slash.

For general information the ratings for each song can, at their most basic, be briefly summarised as: Masterpiece 5/5, Great - 4/5, Ordinary - 3/5, Annoying - 2/5 and Exasperating - 1/5.
